Sassy Scrappers- Graphic 45 Mini Album

Hi There!

Today I am sharing an altered Graphic 45 Film Cannister & Mini Album using the Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection on the Sassy Scrappers blog!

I made this album as part of my submission for the Final round of teh G45 DT call but unfortunately I didn't make the team. Never mind! There is always next year to try again!

This is the Film Cannister before it was altered. You can find this in the Graphic 45 staples section here

The kraft mini album folds out accordian style.

Here it is fully altered

so this is the outside of the metal film cannister & lid. I have fussy cut the fence image from 2 sheets of the Secret Garden paper & taped this around the edge/side of the lid.
The tulips & little girl were also fussy cut from the Secret Garden sheet. To get them to stand up I simply folded the bottom of the image to form a tab then secured the tab to the lid with tape.
To create the wishing well I used the Sun Kissed paper.

The flowers were fussy cut from the Pretty Primrose sheet mixed with a Manor House flower

This is the outside of the mini album

and the inside

My Creative Scrapbook- Gift Box Tutorial

Hi There!

This was a tutorial I created for the My Creative Scrapbook blog.

Today I have an easy step by step for the cute little gift box I made with the April Album kit. This gift box is perfect for gift cards. jewellery or chocolates!

You will need
X2 sheets paper (pattern or cardstock)
tape
foam tape
scoring tool
border punch
trim from Album kit
paper flowers from Album kit
Button from Album kit
paper doily from Album kit
Memories die cut Accessories sheet from Album kit (small doily)

1. Cut 12X12" sheet of paper in half so you have X2 pieces measuring 6X12"

2. Cut 1 piece in half again so that you now have 2 6X6" pieces

3. Score 1 inch around all edges on both pieces

4. Where the score marks form a small square cut to the 1 inch score mark. This will create litle tabs.

5. Fold Tabs upwards along all scored lines

6. Stick down all tabs

7. Repeat this with the second piece

8. slide 1 box into the other

To decorate the box:

1. Stick the paper doily on top
2. Cut a 6X4" piece of cardstcok or pattern paper. Score 1" in at both ends. Punch a border along both sides
3. Stick the border strip in the centre
4. Stick the piece of trim cut to 6" along the centre of the border strip
5. Use foam tape to stick the small paper doily from the Memories Die cut Acessories sheet in the centre
6. Use 4 layers of paper petals & stick together with foam tape. Stick flower in centre of doily
7. Stick a decorative button in the centre of the flower

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial!
Cheers

Sassy Scrappers- Riding the Pony

Hi there!

I'm still working with one of my favourite collections Graphic 45 Secret Garden! I have pretty much fussy cut every image throughout the papers LOL!

This page is of my DD Kayla. She was beside herself with happiness when she got to ride the Shetland Pony at the school fete over Easter! She couldn't keep the smile off her face! Of course she begged & pleaded to have a Pony at home. We asked just where the Pony was supposed to sleep & eat & she thought the Shed would be perfect.......... HMMMM I don't think so!

So now I have used this collection to scrap photos about Ponies, pancakes & kinder so you can see that it pretty much goes with anything!

Sassy Scrappers- Kindy Girl

Hi There!

Today I have another Graphic 45 Secret Garden page for Sassy Scrappers. Purple is not a colour that pops up in the scrapping world often but it is one of my favourites. I tend to buy my girls lots of purple clothing so I like to match the girls clothes with my papers!

Kayla's kindergarten top was also purple so I thought it would match nicely with this collection!

Iv'e done lots of distressing & inking on this page with a bit of fussy cutting. The fence image throughout the collection is so pretty & there are all sorts of gorgeous flowers to fussy cut too!
Budget Tip- To save on paper I actually cut the middle of my paper out. I leave a 1 inch border all around then use the centre of the paper to create more layers
Some fussy cut flowers mixed with Prima flowers & a Flourish with a bling pearl flourish

The lovely fence image fussy cut with an Imaginarium Designs chipboard butterfly

G45 Secret Garden Sassy Scrappers

Hi There!

This month I have the extreme pleasure of playing with Graphic 45 Secret Garden. This is just such a gorgeous collection! I could just sit & fussy cut all the gorgeous images for hours!

Earlier this month the sketch challenge was released. A fabulous sketch designed by our very own Rikki Graziani!

Here is my interpretation of the sketch using a more traditional/vintage design

My kids love the Pancake Parlour! It is tradition for us to travel to Melbourne at Xmas time to visit Santa at Myers, check out the Myer windows & visit the Pancake Parlour for lunch. I'm not sure whether it's the giant milkshakes or the pancakes they like best!

Lots of fussy cutting of flowers & gorgeous vintage images using foam tape to give them some dimension

A cluster of flowers & lace with some more fussy cut images

Some gorgeous Prima flowers. I just love the new Prima flower Paquita (in Meadow)
